Showcase

Showcase is a scrap book of ideas resulting in the production of a fine jewellery collection exhibited in the Seb Brown showroom. It shows the associated drawings, objects, etchings, maquettes and research materials behind the designs. The entanglement of the related ephemera highlights the design led process of creating a cohesive collection of jewellery and the transference of ideas from 2D to 3D and perhaps back again.

Showcase includes materials associated with research, idea generation, concept development, shape exploration, stone selection and editing the final outcomes. The laboratory-like Seb Brown showroom, design by Sean Godsell, acts as the canvas for the display of the messy works, with a view to the workshop where the pieces are being made.
